Last year, the American Association of Independent Music and its member organizations welcomed 17 students to their teams as paid interns. Music companies, large and small, have stepped up to help train the next generation of employees in New York City.
The nationally-recognized competitive summer internship program Ladders for Leaders will take place again in 2017. The program, which is administered by the Department of Youth and Community Development, and supported by the Center for Youth Employment and the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, offers high-achieving high school and college students the opportunity to take part in internships at prominent businesses across a wide variety of industries.
If you are interested in welcoming a talented student onto your team for at least six weeks next summer, please contact Richard Rosen from the Center for Youth Employment at [email protected] for more information or to sign up.
The American Association of Independent Music is a proud supporter of the Ladders for Leaders program, and is delighted to partner with the Center for Youth Employment again next year to cultivate career opportunities for New York City youth and young adults.
We wish you all a happy holiday season.
