NEW YORK, NY—June 13, 2018: Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) Worldwide celebrates its 25th Anniversary as a leading global distribution and services organization within the independent music community by hosting a concert held on June 20th at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. Exemplifying ADA’s indie spirit and roster, J Mascis (Sub Pop) will headline the show, supported by Ron Gallo (New West Records), Teenage Wrist (Epitaph Records) Michael Blume (S-Curve Records) and an audio-visual experience with DJ Spooky presents Phantom Dancehall (VP Records). The celebration will ensue in partnership with and during A2IM Indie Week presented by SoundExchange. Following the show an after-party at Bowery Ballroom will also take place with a special performance by The Interrupters (Hellcat Records). A limited amount of 200 tickets will be available for purchase (HERE) and will also allow entrance to the after-party, which will be open to the public. For more information on the line-up see below.

ABOUT J MASCIS:
Best known as the frontman of the influential indie rock trio Dinosaur Jr., J Mascis has also been a solo artist, occasional producer, and film composer. Getting his start as a founding member of the hardcore band Deep Wound, Dinosaur Jr. was founded in 1984 and the group emerged among the most highly regarded in alternative rock. By reintroducing volume and attack in his songs Mascis shed the strict limitations of early 1980’s hardcore, becoming an influence on the burgeoning ‘grunge’ movement. ABOUT RON GALLO:
I sat in vans a lot this past year because at one point in time I was frustrated with humanity (but really myself) and from that came an album called “HEAVY META.” Apparently the sentiment resonated more with people in 2016 then when I wrote those songs in my apartment in Philadelphia in 3-4 years before that (probably because the current political and social climate) so suddenly that darkness turned into doing a lot of stuff I always wanted to do but never thought I would or could – like travel around with my friends, Joe Bisirri (bass) and Dylan Sevey (drums), and play shows for people with bands we love in places all over the world: Naked Giants, White Reaper, The Black Angels, Twin Peaks, Thee Oh Sees, Hurray For the Riff Raff to name a few. On “Really Nice Guys” which came out 1/19/18 on New West Records, you can find auto-tune, tantrums about algorithms, songs featuring iPhone tabla about being on a guestlist, underwhelming solos, a song called “YouTubular” and the true star of the whole thing: my mom’s boyfriend, Jerry, who we secretly captured candidly talking about the EP and made it the lead vocal on “Pull Quote” the EP’s closing track. ABOUT THE INTERRUPTERS:
The third album from L.A. ska-punk band The Interrupters, Fight the Good Fight gets its title from a piece of graffiti spray-painted outside the studio where they made their debut. “It’s a phrase that’s followed us around for years, and it kind of embodies the message of this album,” says guitarist Kevin Bivona, whose bandmates include singer Aimee Interrupter, bassist Justin Bivona, and drummer Jesse Bivona. Aimee adds: “There’s a lot of darkness in the world right now, but we’re trying to drive that out by making our music the light.
