The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) has offered all A2IM members discounted membership for at the Premier Professional National level. The AIMP, formed in 1977, and has local chapters in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. The organization’s primary focus is to educate and inform music publishers about the most current industry trends and practices by providing a forum for the discussion of the issues and problems confronting the music publishing industry. The opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions with others on issues of mutual concern is fostered by the informal atmosphere of the AIMP’s monthly meetings, summits, and workshops, the videos of which can be seen (along with more general info on the organization) at http://www.aimp.org.
The Premier Professional Membership costs $150 for a year per individual and A2IM members will receive a $25 discount. Membership includes:
- Full access on the AIMP website to “Members Only” sections
- Access the Members Network to view member profiles, contact members, and join discussion forums
- Access to streaming Videos and downloadable Podcasts of AIMP’s monthly panels as well as extensive archives of past panels

- Voting rights to elect your local chapter’s board of directors and the national election
