A2IM WELCOMES 2023 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

A2IM is thrilled to announce its 2023 Board of Directors, as well as its new Executive Committee and Advisory Board Members!


THE NEW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE IS: 

HEATHER JOHNSON (FIXT), CHAIR, VICTOR ZARAYA (CONCORD), TREASURER, AND TONY ALEXANDER (MADE IN MEMPHIS LLC), SECRETARY

NEWLY ELECTED BOARD MEMBERS ARE ZENA WHITE (PARTISAN RECORDS), NABIL AYERS (BEGGARS GROUP), HAYS RUDOLPH (SECRETLY) AND TONY ALEXANDER (MIME)

NEW ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS ARE JENNIFER NEWMAN SHARPE (EXCELERATION MUSIC), KRISTIN EPSTEIN (SCREENWAVE MEDIA), STEVE KLINE (BETTER NOISE MUSIC), ELLIOTT PETERS (EMPIRE), JASON PETERSON (CINQ MUSIC/GODIGITAL MEDIA GROUP) AND REED WATSON (SINGLE LOCK RECORDS)

Leading the Executive Committee is Heather Johnson, Director of Label Operations at FIXT, assuming the role of Chair. Victor Zaraya, COO of Concord will serve as Treasurer, and Tony Alexander, President and Managing Director of Made in Memphis Entertainment (MIME) takes on the position of Secretary. The newly elected Board Members include Tony Alexander of MIME as well as Nabil Ayers, President of Beggars Group, Hays Rudolph, General Counsel and VP of Business and Legal Affairs at Secretly, and Zena White, COO of Partisan Records.

Furthermore, A2IM proudly welcomes esteemed industry professionals to its Advisory Board Members roster such as Kristin Epstein, Operations Director of Screenwave Media, Steve Kline, President/COO of Better Noise Music, Jennifer Newman Sharpe, General Counsel and Head of Business & Legal Affairs of Exceleration Music, Elliott Peters, SVP, Global Business of Empire, Jason Peterson, CEO of Cinq Music/GoDigital Media Group, and Reed Watson, Co-owner of Single Lock Records will lend their expertise and counsel to the organization.

The Board of Directors plays a vital role in the governance of A2IM, advocating for the members at large and assisting in establishing the organization’s strategic priorities. Elected for three-year terms, members of the board of directors provide invaluable guidance to ensure the continued success of the independent music sector. A2IM’s Advisory Board members serve one-year terms in order to broaden the perspective of the board.
