Record Store Day Black Friday 2016 Timeline

Every year, Independent record stores in the US, Canada, and across the global celebrate Black Friday and the beginning of the Holiday shopping season with a huge selection of limited-edition collectibles, special vinyl releases, reissues, and more.

If you would like to participate, please observe the 2016 Record Store Day Black Friday schedule below:

June 23rd: Details on all proposed RSD Black Friday titles are presented by this date.  (NOTE: This is the FINAL DATE to turn them in. That doesn’t mean you can’t turn them in in advance of this date).

July 14th: The final list of Black Friday titles/quantities are locked in.

August 12th: All artwork is completed, and both high rez and low re images are emailed to Carrie and Michael.

September 1st: All RSD/Black Friday products have gone into production, and the spreadsheet for all titles is completely filled out and submitted.

October 23rd: RSD/Black Friday products ship to one stops, various approved distributors by this date.

October 27th: RSD releases the official list to the public.

November 25th: Participating RSD stores in the USA/Canada and Europe celebrate Black Friday and put all of the special releases on sale.
