A2IM Board of Directors Election 2016: The Candidates

A2IM’s annual Board of Directors election opens for voting Wednesday, May 11th. The board is elected by A2IM’s label members, where each label’s primary contact has the right to vote on behalf of her/his company. Please note, there is only one vote per company. Our voting members have nominated an exciting list of member executives to run for election to the A2IM Board of Directors. The caliber and depth of this list shows the level of dedication, engagement and commitment our members have to A2IM’s mission of supporting the U.S. independent music label movement. A2IM’s voting members will vote to fill four (4) seats from the list of candidates (below, alphabetically by first name). Voting closes on Tuesday, May 31st.

The nominees are:

Andrew Kautz Big Machine Label Group

Emily Hungate, Black River Entertainment

Garry West, Compass Records Group

Glenn Dicker Yep Roc Music Group

Jarrod Cooper Verge Records International

Jeremy Peters Ghostly International

Kenn Goodman Pravda Records

Louis Posen Hopeless Records

Mark Robinson BMG

A2IM expresses our gratitude to the four board members with expiring seats up for election this year. The expiring seats are currently held by Glen Barros (Concord Music Group), Louis Posen (Hopeless Records), Portia Sabin (Kill Rock Stars) and Jim Selby (Concord Music Group). Louis Posen is eligible to run again as he filled in for the seat vacated by Richard James Burgess. We thank these board members for their leadership, commitment and exemplary service to the A2IM organization and membership. We look forward to ongoing contributions from them all.
