Sound Performance gears up for RSD 2014

What better way to wish all A2IM members and friends an exciting and lucrative New Year than a reminder that Sound Performance ( / ) is more than ready to fully assist all labels and artists with their Record Store Day 2014 releases.

Whether you’re already on board or taking measures to compliment other arrangements, our goal is to ensure your releases are planned for and delivered in a timely manner. We are determined to make sure there are no hiccups or last minute delays that could compromise the placement of your highly desirable releases, RSD and beyond.

Saturday April 19th is just around the corner and if you’re working with a Distributor or One Stop, odds are that you’ll need to deliver finished goods to their respective distribution center no later than March 28th (or sooner). All RSD related projects that require production and manufacturing services are welcomed by Sound Performance. Besides our uncompromising commitment to each and every project, we take all the necessary measures for a reliable and efficient turnaround schedule to ensure your releases are completed and delivered in a timely manner.

Sound Performance in association with The Flood Gallery would like to welcome all A2IM members and friends to attend the opening reception of our “Tattoo Art of New York City” exhibition at the Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn on Friday, December 6th.

The Flood Gallery is an extension of Sound Performance in the UK who specialize in original screen printed limited edition music/film/art posters. Based on the success of the recent show of exclusive new tattoo art commissioned by the Flood Gallery in London we thought it would be great to have it over here too. Check out for a recap of the London event and a selection of prints that will be available for purchase at the NY show.

A2IM SXSW 2013 Breakfast (Austin, March 14)

A2IM will be hosting our 8th Annual SXSW Breakfast at El Sol Y La Luna, 600 E. 6th Street, Austin, TX (map) on Thursday, March 14 from 9AM – 12PM. This event is open to all members of A2IM but you must RSVP HERE.

In addition to the breakfast, as a great networking opportunity for the A2IM member community, we are also organizing Executive One-on-One Sessions where you will have the opportunity to meet in the areas of Licensing, Data Management OR Digital Marketing/Strategy. Each meeting will last approx. 10 minutes. We will have two sessions from 10-11AM or 11AM-12PM during the breakfast. We will do our best to accommodate all requests but you MUST RSVP. Space is limited.

A2IM-Created American Independents Pavilion Launches Banner Sixth Year at MIDEM, Exhibits Tremendous Industry Pull

This year’s American Independents Pavilion is underway and already taking the lead as a primary focal point of the world’s largest music business trade event. Celebrating its sixth anniversary, the 2011 A2IM and MIDEM-created pavilion is once again a hub of business and networking at the event, which welcomes over 250 representatives of the U.S. independent music community in an international setting.

Sunday’s night’s cocktail party (w/ sponsoring co-host Counterpoint Systems – ( concluded the opening day at MIDEM where A2IM members toasted the sunset on the French Riviera and discussed licensing and distribution deals, label technology & media support and sync licenses setting the tone for deal-making for the next three days of MIDEM.

Key highlights of this year’s Independent Music label Summit are two sessions featuring A2IM members on Tuesday, January 25th. Co-keynote speakers Glen Barros, CEO of Concord Music Group and A2IM member, and Daniel Miller, founder of Mute, will delve into ways that indies can excel in today’s market by diversifying and maximizing revenue streams for artists. That same day, Daniel Glass, A2IM Radio Committee chair and CEO/founder of Glassnote Entertainment Group, will be a featured speaker on the MIDEM panel “Ten Commandments for Successfully Running a Label.” Throughout MidemNet and MIDEM, fifteen additional A2IM members will participate in panel discussions.

The A2IM American Independents Pavilion is located at R36.18 at the trade show with a large terrace overlooking the French Riviera. Key events include a matchmaking event entitled “Germany Meets The USA” on Monday, 1/24 from 2:00 to 3:30 and A2IM’s nightly sunset cocktail parties:
