MIDEM 2011 with A2IM: Member Registration Discount & Information (Jan. 22-26; Cannes, France)

For the 6th consecutive year A2IM will host the American independents’ pavilion at MIDEM 2011 at the best location at the world’s biggest music business conference.

We will also once again be able to offer A2IM members a discounted registration rate to attend MIDEM.  The A2IM members discounted registration rate of 495 Euros (+ VAT) is a savings of over $500 per registrant through December 31st.

A2IM members that register through us have full use and access to the A2IM’s independents’ pavilion that is fully staffed and equipped to provide you with an atmosphere sure to enhance your Midem experience (contact Jim Mahoney to find out more details).

Last January, the A2IM pavilion was the place where people came during the day to discuss repertoire, licensing, and distribution deals in addition to networking at our packed cocktail parties on our terrace overlooking sunset on the French Riviera.

Hotel accommodations are always a concern for those attending Midem. There are options available.  Midem’s accommodations office does a great job on behalf of our members.  You can look at the THIS LIST of hotels available and indicate your preferences on your registration form (please note that Midem’s accommodations office will do their best to put you in the hotel of your choice but cannot make guarantees about availability.  If they can’t place you where you’ve requested they will use your preferences to put you in a hotel that meets similar standards or will be in touch with you to help you make your hotel reservations).  If you have not attended Midem previously and/or have any questions about hotels or apartments nearby the Palais, please contact Jim Mahoney.

Lastly, A2IM will be hosting nightly sunset cocktail parties that we encourage you to treat as your own – invite your business connections to enjoy a glass of wine on our terrace overlooking the French Riviera as the perfect way to conclude your days’ meetings.  We could not host these cocktail parties without the generous support of our event sponsors.  Thank you to Counterpoint SystemsSound Performance, SoundExchange and Burning Music Production!  If you’re interested in co-hosting our remaining available cocktail party or would like to otherwise create a splash at Midem with A2IM, please contact  jim.mahoney@a2im.org to discuss details.

A group of over ninety of your independent music label colleagues from around the world met in NYC on June 17th to share ideas, brainstorm our community’s challenges, and create a generic “Roadmap for Independent Music Labels” to use during this period of transformation in the music industry. The document attached below is the result of that meeting and we hope it provides guidance to our community. This is an A2IM label member only service, please do not share this document outside of our A2IM community.
