Direct-to-fan music tools for Shopify. Turn your store into a distribution powerhouse with downloads, preorders, bundles, SoundScan & more!

Your Music. Your Store.

Single Music is a brand-new app exclusively aligned with Shopify that empowers artists and labels to sell music directly from their official sites – with instant reporting to Nielsen.

Each artist store can now become a one-stop shop for both physical and digital music, streamlining the respective methods of sale under one roof for the very first time. By selling direct to the consumer, artists and labels receive fan demographics for future marketing efforts and create lasting relationships with their audiences.

Artists are also able to release and sell music instantly, without the multi-week waiting periods typically required by other platforms. With Single, artists can run their own album presales and sell individual tracks alongside an album or bundle digital with any physical product – all reporting to SoundScan. Thanks to Shopify’s social integrations, artists can even sell on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Digital albums sold using Single are automatically delivered and reported to Soundscan behind the scenes. And with a small monthly physical reporting subscription, any physical sales through Shopify are also reported. Automatic reporting saves artists time every week – or can even replace an entire department at a label or management firm. Single remains Nielsen-compliant in regard to official rules for popular “Bundled” package sales (i.e. physical product accompanied by a digital download).

Since the Spring, Single has been building steadily, with over 350 stores installing the app. The platform has reported 84,000-plus albums to SoundScan and 175,000 digital purchases fulfilled.

Among a string of early success stories, Single Music notably stands out as the reporting partner or direct-to-fan digital solution for a total of five number one albums in 2018.
