TuneTakeoutTune Takeout is excited to offer its mobile studio program to members of A2IM. Through its mobile studio, Tune Takeout records touring live performances. We sell those performances to the concert attendees. After engineering the recordings into a multi-track, MP3 format, a link to the recordings is distributed to purchasers for download. Distribution typically occurs 48-72 hours after the live performance. Additionally, the recordings then become available to all fans for future purchase through the Tune Takeout website.

Over 30 artists have utilized Tune Takeout’s mobile studio because of the unique benefits:

1. The mobile studio is a vertical commerce opportunity that increases show revenues and salable song inventory.

2. We handle marketing and sales of the recordings. Our brand ambassadors aggressively sell the recordings during the show.

3. Mobile studio pays for itself through sales. No per show out-of-pocket expenses.

4. Labels and artists retain ownership of rights

5. The MP3s meet high quality standards.

Do you have artists touring this summer/fall in Kansas City, Lawrence, Wichita, Topeka, St. Louis, Chicago, or Memphis? If so, we want to put our mobile studio to work for you. Associate Member Spotlight: PledgeMusic

Posted in Member Services, News by A2IM

PledgeMusicPledgeMusic is a direct-to-fan platform that helps artists, labels and managers fund or pre-sell their music, all while engaging fans with exclusive items and experiences.

Artists about to record an album, EP, music video or even head out on tour can offer unique items and experiences for fans to pledge on. In exchange, fans get access to exclusive ‘pledger-only’ content such as downloads, streams, videos and more. Pledge is heavily integrated with social media and can help increase an artist’s online presence exponentially.

PledgeMusic takes on the heavy lifting of making campaigns an immersive and rewarding experience for artists and fans. Pledge can help extend the marketing push for an artist, acting as a long lead presale (physical and digital sales can be reported to Soundscan). Artists can also donate a portion of what they raise to a charity of their choosing.

PledgeMusic has worked with a variety of independent labels (such as Moshi Moshi, Fierce Panda, Brushfire, Co-op and Razor & Tie), plus has a deal with INgrooves Fontana to be the sole direct-to-fan platform for all of their labels.

Among the many artists that have run successful campaigns are Ben Folds Five, Rachael Yamagata, Rhett Miller, The Libertines, Juliana Hatfield, The Lumineers, Luscious Jackson, Langhorne Slim, The Damnwells, Funeral For A Friend, Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s, Madi Diaz and more.

For more information, please email Benji Rogers and Mike Fordham. You can also check out the platform at www.pledgemusic.com.

Our subscription model is not changing – we’re simply adding another option in order to engage the non-subscribers who visit our site every day. This will enable us to open up the eMusic experience to a wider audience as well new revenue opportunities for our label partners.

Along with our a la carte launch, we’re going to be unrolling several new site features focused on enhancing personalized discovery and collection management for eMusic members and a la carte users. We’re focused on advancing eMusic’s differentiated role in the marketplace as a source for creative discovery and curated guidance, and these new developments will further that objective.

eMusic is excited to become a more valuable retail partner to all of the labels we work with now that we’ve entered the a la carte space! We’re happy to answer any member questions about the new developments – you can email us at labels@emusic.com.
