Earlier this month, while in Washington DC to give a speech for the Music & Entertainment Industry Educators (MEIEA), A2IM’s new CEO, Richard Burgess took time out to discuss A2IM’s past, present and future with Music Week’s Emmanuel LeGrand. The wide ranging interview touched on topics such as the webcasting hearings to decide US internet radio rates for sound recordings, the role SoundCloud plays in the music ecosystem and his thoughts on the, evolving role, Indie Week has played in the music industry.
