Louisville, Kentucky’s sonaBLAST! Records was established in 2002 by then New York-based film producer Gill Holland. After signing several artists there during the first four years, Holland moved himself and its operations to Louisville, where he and his small team have continued to unearth and support local artists. sonaBLAST! is a label and publishing company, dba pubBLAST Songs (BMI), sonaBLAST Songs (ASCAP) and Nulublast (SESAC). By controlling both the master recordings and doing co-publishing deals with our artists, sonaBLAST! Records is an extremely user-friendly “one-stop” shop for music supervisors, film directors and producers. We have placed songs in over thirty movies (“Loggerheads”, “Blue State”, “Mentor”, “Push”) and TV shows such as “One Tree Hill”, “Bones”, “Windfall”, “Army Wives,” and the MTV show “Maui Fever”, and commercials for places like Match.com, Burton snowboards, AMC, etc.
