This position is responsible for producing the following result: Track all transactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting files, as well as regular inspection of transaction integrity

This position reports directly to the CFO, and is accountable for the following –

Bookkeeper Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Multiple monthly bank reconciliations
• Accounts Payable
• Reconcile intercompany accounts
• Book month-end recurring accrual entries
• Assist in the preparation of semi-annual artist statements
• Book allocation of costs to projects
• Prepare distribution statements, monthly
• Reconcile Sage 100 sales to RoyaltyShare and transmit royalty payments to R/S – quarterly and semi-annually
• Ensure that all W-9’s are on file for all vendors
• Assist in the preparation of annual 1099 issuance
• Assist in the Preparation of annual tax analysis package
• Enter monthly actuals in cash flow forecasts
• Assist in the preparation of fixed cost analyses
• Assist in the preparation of gross margin analysis by project
• Prepare monthly sales accrual data sheets from all distributors
• Record transactions for all entities by sales/expense type and showcode
• Track and follow-up on non-reporting distributors and licensees
• Accounts receivable invoice entries and assist with collection / follow-up
• Ensure that all items are set up to code to proper show code for future accounting
• Ensure Rent payments are received from tenants
• Assist in the running of pivot tables, research of actual costs, coding questions
• Answering questions on vendor bills

Administrative assistant Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Filing
• Banking
• Secure signed copies of contracts and update contract log
• Review Payroll Documents for new Employees
• Ordering office supplies
• Answering phones and checking the voicemail on the main phone line
• Miscellaneous work around the office
• Responding to emails

Skills/Qualifications:

College graduate with an accounting degree
Royalty accounting and music business experience
Experience with Sage 100 / MAS90 software
Experience with RoyaltyShare preferred, not required
Proficiency in Microsoft excel and Microsoft word, V-lookup and pivot tables
Willing to put in the extra hours to make a deadline
Inquisitive and excellent at finding more efficient processes and tracking down the source of errors
Staying informed about industry trends
Attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
Responds well to pressure
Strong written and verbal communication skills
