A2IM supported the main goal of the proposed Texas legislation, HB 3125 legislation, to reduce piracy, but opposed that it also would impose criminal liability for any violation of the terms of a contract related to live performances. We previously reported this to you on June 8th, http://a2im.org/2011/06/08/a2im-asks-texas-governor-to-vote-against-proposed-music-legislation/ and A2IM sent Governor Perry a letter asking him to veto this legislation. We are happy to report the Governor Perry of Texas vetoed this legislation on June 17th. http://governor.state.tx.us/news/veto/16296/
