Initiative Musik gGmbH is the funding agency set up by the German government and music industry to financially support German music.
The core field is popular music, particularly Rock, Pop, and Jazz.
Approx. 250 artists and 50 infrastructure projects were financially supported with their album, tour or promotion since 2008.
The goal of Initiative Musik abroad is:
· to promote and support the export of German music
· built up international networks
· presenting the modern music site Germany
Services for US companies:
· Providing contacts to a wide range of German artists
· Support of travelcosts for German artists who play at US Festivals, special gigs, tv shows
· SXSW Networking Lunch and Matchmaking with German companies
· Providing contacts to German music companies
