This year’s NARM/A2IM Music Business Crash Course will take place on Friday, May 14th and Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Hilton Chicago (720 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago, map).
After drawing a record crowd of over 175 satisfied music industry artists, technology companies, and labels last year, based upon NARM member’s requests, the course has been expanded from one day to two days this year with over two thirds of the course new content (Crash Course Schedule here). The Crash Course features educational presentations and panel discussions focused on the independent sector, a must for independent music labels and technology companies to remain current in the the transforming music economy. It starts as a music 101 on the first day and moves to music 102 on the second day. Please visit this link for registration information and use the discount code A2IM-50. The Music Crash Course event is free for NARM attendees or $49 registration fee for A2IM members who wish to attend the Crash Course only.
2. Register now for the 2010 NARM Convention.
The NARM 2010 Convention will take place at the Hilton Chicago from Saturday, May 15, 2010 through Monday, May 17, 2010.
Please take a moment to view the NARM schedule located here. In addition, NARM is hosting NARM 2010 Music Law Conference: Clouds, ISPs and Royalty Challenges. Attendance requires a separate registration.
Speed dating has been replaced with Executive One-on-One meetings so that full NARM convention registrant music companies can get up to 20 meetings of face time of longer duration with retailers, e-tailers and service providers to present their music and learn more about what retailers and service providers are looking for.
